NetDroid minimizes data collection. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we ask for personal contact details such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the application.

B. Permissions & Technical Data

To provide accurate network analysis and diagnostic tools, the application requests the following operating system permissions:

Location Access (Fine/Coarse): Required by the Android OS to access Wi-Fi network details (such as SSID and BSSID). We use this strictly to display your current network connection info. We do not track your physical movements or store your location history on our servers.
Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE): Required to access cellular network information, such as Signal Strength, Carrier Name, and Network Type (4G/5G). This allows the "Cell Tower" monitoring feature to function.
Network State & Wi-Fi State: Essential for checking internet connectivity, performing ping tests, and monitoring traffic speed.

2. Third-Party Services & Ads

We work with third-party service providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our services.

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the app. AdMob may use technology such as cookies and device identifiers (Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads based on your interests.

The data accessed by the app is used for the following purposes:

Monetization: To display relevant advertisements via AdMob, which supports the ongoing development of this free application.

4. Data Storage & Transfer

Local Processing: The majority of the diagnostic data (like your ping results or Wi-Fi signal strength) is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

Ad Data: Data related to advertisements (such as ad impressions and clicks) is processed by Google AdMob in accordance with their privacy policies.

5. Children's Privacy

NetDroid is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.
